Latest Ontario, Canada Immigration News AT A GLANCE

On June 25th, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) published an updated list of the eligible fields of study to apply to a Postgraduate Work Permit (PGWP) if you are enrolled in a non-degree program and applied for your study permit on or after November 2024. This change was made to be in alignment with the current labour market demands for Canada.

Students who submitted their study permit application before June 25th, 2025, will remain eligible if the field of study was in the previous approved list.
